St. Helena’s Religious Education Office ministers to the spiritual needs and
concerns of our entire parish.
For children who attend public schools, religious formation is available on
Monday evenings in the school from 6:30 pm – 7:45 pm. Sacramental preparation
for Confirmation, First Eucharist and First Reconciliation takes place
throughout the year on Sundays from Noon until 1:00 pm. For children ages 4 – 6,
we offer a Bible School in the Religious Education office during the 11 am
Liturgy. Our Vacation Bible School runs for one week at the end of June for
children 4 years and up.
Teenagers can belong to our Junior High Youth Group that meets on the second
Sunday of each month in the Religious Education Office from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm.
All sixth, seventh and eighth grade students are invited to attend.
For teens from 9th through 12th grades, High School
Youth Group meets every first and third Sunday of each month from 7:00 pm – 8:30
pm. Both of these teen groups cater to the faith formation of the students in a
fun, service oriented and laid back environment.
St. Helena’s is diligently striving to reach our adult population. We offer
an Adult Scripture Series in the Religious Education Office during the school
year on Monday nights (when classes are in session) from 6:30 pm – 7:40 pm.
After religious education classes have ended for the school year, our second
Adult Bible Series begins with its concentration on the "New Catechism".
Our Religious Education Office is open each day and welcomes everyone to come
in and browse through our videos and books. We work very closely with the
Diocesan Office and can keep everyone up to date with happenings not only at St.
Helena’s, but in our Diocese as well. For any questions, please call our office
at 762-4280.
