Hummy Pennell

Ms. Hummy as she is known by most everyone, came to St. Helena's in July 2000. She drove down Philadelphia Pike from Holy Rosary Parish where she was the Administrative Assistant in the Religious Education Office for 13 years.

She graduated from the Loyola Institute for Ministry (1999-2003) earning a master's certificate in Religious Education. She was hired for the two-fold position of Director of Religious Education and Youth Ministry.

Ms. Hummy has also been involved with Diocesan Catholic Youth Ministry since 1971 serving as the Coordinator of CYM Officials in basketball and volleyball, and the baseball coordinator. She has handed down those duties and is now serving as a member of the Athletic Advisory Committee for CYM.

From Children's Liturgy through High School Youth Group, she has ministered to all ages of parish children. Ms. Hummy has meddled into all aspects of Parish life since she arrived in 2000 and lovingly calls St. Helena's HOME.
